Welcome to SANDWICHED KC! We’re glad you are here.

We formed this group so that people who are caring for their parents, grandparents, or other family members who are aging, have a disability, or otherwise in need of support can connect with others who know what they’re going through.

Why the Sandwich, you ask?

Today’s family caregivers are often referred to as the Sandwich Generation.

Whether you are have kids AND are caring for your own parents, or you’re a sibling taking care of your folks AND a brother or sister with a disability, or you’re single like me trying to balance your life and career and start a family or pursue your passions AND your caregiving responsibilities, we all sometimes can feel like we are smushed into a situation that’s so big sometimes you’re not even sure how to take the first bite.

We’ve all been there. Let’s use our experiences and wisdom to support each other. We are not alone.

We hope you will join us for our monthly meetings via Zoom. Once we’re up and running we will have quarterly face to face meetings.

Contact us to let us know if you would like to get involved.
