All of us here at Sandwiched are ecstatic to announce that two new board members have joined our ranks!

Please join us in welcoming Natalie Hyland, of Kansas City, MO, and Christina Hill, of Lee’s Summit, MO, to the Sandwiched KC Board of Directors! Both Natalie and Christina have family caregiving experience, which makes them a perfect match for Sandwiched, since we are a nonprofit for family caregivers powered by family caregivers.

You can read their bios below to learn more about them.

Natalie Hyland

Natalie is an experienced event coordinator based in Kansas City with a background in arts management, live entertainment, and volunteer leadership. She holds a degree in Live and Performing Arts Management and has led everything from career fairs to large-scale concerts. A lifelong caregiver, Natalie grew up supporting her mom in caring for an aunt after a traumatic brain injury, and later served as the primary caregiver for both parents through Alzheimer’s, autoimmune disease, and leukemia. Although her caregiving mission was completed in 2025, she remains passionate about supporting young caregivers and helping others navigate grief, transition, and what comes next. She believes in the power of community—and a well-organized spreadsheet.

Christina Hill

As an active member of the “sandwich generation,” Christina balances caregiving for her grandmother—who lives with vascular dementia—while raising two spirited young children in Lee’s Summit.

Her personal caregiving journey shaped her professional pivot: after 12 years in corporate America, she launched Amada Senior Care Overland Park KS, where she now serves as Owner & CEO, helping families navigate aging with dignity and support.

Christina earned a Bachelors degree from Kansas State University after transferring from Florida A&M University. During her collegiate career she served as Chapter President for The Alpha Chapter of Kappa Psi Psi Healthcare Sorority, Inc. – achieving Incorporation and chartering the Beta Chapter at Florida State University under her leadership. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. continuing to support their civic and social initiatives nationally and locally at the KCMO Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta.

Her proudest professional accomplishment occurred while at Abbott Laboratories. Christina co-founded the Black Business Network, an employee resource group that grew into an award-winning platform for connection, mentorship, and advancement for Black professionals across the organization. She brings that same spirit of leadership, inclusion, and heart to her work today.

With a blend of strategic insight, lived experience, and deep community roots, Christina is passionate about building systems of support that empower caregivers, uplift families, and reflect the diverse fabric of Kansas City.

In her spare time, you can find her serving on the Dream Team at her church home – The City of Truth, practicing meditation, or unwinding at the pool.

Christina Hill is truly honored to join the board of Sandwiched Family Caregivers of KC and looks forward to humbly serving the community. Her biggest wish is to bring support awareness and utilization, in stereo, to the thousands of caregivers in the metro.

We are thrilled to have these two remarkably caring, talented and intelligent ladies join us and grateful for the lived experience they bring to the table 🥪❤️
