November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the countless people in the Kansas City metro who dedicate themselves to caring for loved ones. These family caregivers—many of whom are unpaid—juggle full lives while ensuring that someone else’s needs come first. They manage appointments, medications, meals, and moments of comfort, often without the acknowledgment they deserve.
This year’s theme, “Plug into Care,” is a reminder that caregivers shouldn’t have to do it all alone. Staying connected—to information, to support, and to one another—can make all the difference.

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the release of the 2025 Kansas City Caregiver Resource Guide, your go-to tool for navigating local caregiving resources.
The guide includes information on:
- Finding respite and support groups
- Home care and health services
- Financial and legal assistance
- Transportation, housing, and nutrition assistance programs
Whether you’re new to caregiving or have been on this journey for years, we hope this guide helps lighten your load and reminds you that you’re not alone.
You can access the 2025 Kansas City Caregiver Resource Guide here, find one at a branch of the Kansas City Public Library or Mid-Continent Public Library, or request a printed copy at upcoming community events.
And don’t miss our special Voices of Care event on November 30. Voices of Care is an event dedicated to sharing the real stories, challenges, and triumphs of family caregivers. It’s a space to connect, reflect, and celebrate the powerful voices shaping the caregiving experience in Kansas City.
This month and every month, we honor your resilience, compassion, and courage. To all who care…thank you for the heart and hope you bring to our community. Let’s stay connected. Let’s Plug into Care.
