This month, just in time for Fall Prevention Awareness Week, which takes place Sept. 22-26, 2025, we sat down with and discussed fall prevention strategies with local expert, Amy Vance, who recently opened Active Aging Wellness, a senior center in the northland.
We explored common home hazards contributing to falls among older adults and shared practical prevention methods including exercise routines, home modifications, and safety equipment.
Our discussion ended with tips for talking about fall prevention with our family members, emphasizing the importance of open communication and seeking professional assistance if necessary in helping with fall prevention.
