Tina was born in California but moved to Southwest Missouri as a young child so her mother could care for her grandmother. A first generation college student, and the daughter of a nursing home housekeeper and a custodian, Tina earned a Bachelor\u2019s of Science and an MBA in Accounting from Missouri State University before seeking a Juris Doctorate and a Master\u2019s of Laws (LLM) in taxation from the University of Missouri \u2013 Kansas City.
